Southern Logix is the logistics division of Southern Diesel, a company founded in 1997 with a strong track record of excellence in the fuel industry.
Southern Logix was founded in 2019 by brothers Alexander and David Smith to provide
premium petroleum product transportation and trade services to clients at competitive prices.
Today, we are the leading fuel transportation company operating across Mozambique,
Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, and the DRC, with bases of operation in Zimbabwe and
Zambia.

Premium motor spirit is used to power internal combustion engines present in vehicles and generators used for a variety of commercial, industrial and private purposes.
Diesel is widely used to power a range of vehicles, including road, and water based vehicles, as well as internal combustion generators used in equipment such as generators.
Jet fuel (Jet Fuel A and Jet Fuel A1) is used to power short and long distance commercial flights, as well as international journeys, around the SADC region and across the globe

First Fleet Expansion
In December 2021, Southern Logix imported its first 14 fuel tankers, marking the beginning of a modern, reliable fleet.
Growing Stronger
By January 2022, the fleet expanded with 31 additional tankers, bringing the total to 45.
In May 2022, Southern Logix was officially licensed by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB), strengthening compliance and credibility.
1,000+ Safe Cross-Border Deliveries
By December 2023, the company had successfully completed more than 1,000 safe deliveries across borders.
Recognition & Milestones
In July 2024, Southern Logix was nominated for the Africa Safety Award for Excellence.
By December 2024, the team celebrated over 2,000 safe deliveries.

Obrian is a consummate leader with over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles. As General Manager of Southern Logix, he plays a key role in synergising the company’s strategic vision with day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
With a background in accounting, Obrian also oversees the financial management of the company. In this dual role, his responsibilities extend to fleet, human capital and cost optimisation, team integration, planning, budgeting and forecasting, performance reviews, and management of change.
Obrian leads a team committed to our four key pillars:

● Efficiency by optimizing performance to always deliver on time
Loveshawn is well experienced in logistics and fleet operations within the transport industry. He is a member of the Zambia Chartered Institute For Logistics and Transport and has worked extensively across Southern Africa, including South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
Loveshawn has successfully managed diverse transportation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to regulatory standards. His strong analytical skills and strategic thinking have enabled him to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
Lovewell is a seasoned Human Resources professional. As a member of the Institute of Human Resources Management of Zambia, he brings a comprehensive skills set as an HR practitioner.
Lovewell enjoys a commitment to fostering positive workplace environments, enhancing employee engagement, and implementing effective human resource strategies. His expertise cover all aspects of HR and make him a valuable asset as a key stakeholder of the welfare and productivity of our team.
Tino has a dedication to HSEQ, having begun her career as an HSEQ officer in Zimbabwe. She demonstrated exceptional commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, making significant contributions to the organisation. Her journey reflects a strong passion for fostering safe and efficient work environments within the transport sector making her an ideal custodian for our commitment to a safe working environment.
